The Team

CHRIS ROBSON, FCCA, Managing Director

I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant whilst working in the London head office finance division of Reuters, a multinational business news company. In 2005, after several years experience of large company finance, I switched to accountancy practice joining Robsons as a Partner advising small and medium sized businesses on their tax and accountancy issues.

I enjoy my work and over the last 17 years I have had the great privilege of working with many excellent small businesses, some of which have grown to be very successful larger enterprises.  It is these years of  experience which I enjoy using for the benefit of my clients and helping them achieve their goals whilst minimizing their tax!

Outside of work I am a keen runner and am lucky to be taking part in the Brighton Marathon this April with my wife and we will be cheered on my our two young children who take up the rest of our spare time!

GRAHAM BONNER-LENEY, FCCA, Senior Tax Manager

I spent many years working in horticulture when I was not travelling around the world, sometimes combining the two!

In 2001 I sold my garden centre business to join Robson’s where I qualified as an ACCA accountant in 2004.  I am passionate about working with business owners to define and help achieve their personal goals through the development and progression of their business.  When I am  not working, I can be found playing tennis, running, gardening and enjoying spending time with my family and my two daughters. 

MARTIN ROBSON, Senior Management Accounts Manager

I joined the Robsons in 1993, Robsons being my first employer, and since then I have gained many valuable years experience in all taxation and accountancy matters. This experience, and my friendly approachable attitude, has helped build my personal client base to over 500 clients, ranging from small sole traders and partnerships to limited companies.  I have an excellent business relationship with all my clients and will continue to do so in future by giving a 100% first class service.

Outside of work, I am a big family man where by my wife and two young children take up most of my spare time, but I still enjoy the occasional game of rugby and can be quite handy with a tennis racket.

TONY CHALMERS, FCCA, Senior Tax Manager

I started my accounting career in 1990 and qualified as an accountant whilst working as a management accountant for a financial public relations firm in London.  In 2003, I was given the opportunity to join a small accountancy practice where I gained a greater appreciation of the needs and expectations of clients with regard to their taxation and accountancy requirements.  I joined Robsons in April 2006 where I use my extensive experience to assist a wide variety of limited company’s, partnerships and sole traders with their business, accounting and tax affairs.

Outside of work I enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter.  Any time left after this is spent trying to keep fit and healthy, however life always provides many excuses (my words)!
